MONTEREY, CA (June 29th, 2017) — Managing Partner Jeff Gilles announced today that JRG, Attorneys at Law, has welcomed Helen De Young to its team in Monterey as his Executive Assistant and Director of External Affairs.
“We are excited to welcome Helen to the JRG team,” said Gilles. “She has strong ties to the community, including working with the American Heart Association and CSU Monterey Bay, and will be a valuable asset to our team and our mission to exceed our clients’ expectations and participate in the communities in which we live.”
Originally from Granada Hills in the San Fernando Valley and now a resident of Salinas, De Young is active in the local community, including formerly on the boards of Monterey County Young Professionals Group, Salinas Jaycees, and Monterey Bay Alumni Panhellenic Group. She is currently on the Executive Leadership Team for the American Heart Association’s 2018 Go Red For Women Luncheon.
She was formerly the Regional Director for the American Heart Association, American Stroke Association, and was Alumni & Community Relations Coordinator at CSU Monterey Bay.
De Young is a graduate of University of California Davis with a bachelor’s degree in Communications and American Studies, was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority and was a club water polo player.
She and her husband have one son, with another child on the way. They also have an “original child,” their little dog Lainey.
In her spare time De Young enjoys working out with her favorite group, Stroller Strong Moms, running half marathons, gardening, being creative, hiking, and exploring the Central Coast.
