About
With nearly a decade of legal experience, Ramon has handled high-profile cases that have gained media attention. After graduating from law school in 2013, Ramon began his career at the renowned firm of Davis, Cedillo & Mendoza in San Antonio, Texas. Here, he worked on complex civil litigation matters, including a notable case involving the Church of Scientology, featured in HBO's documentary, *Going Clear*. His work also extended to cases involving the Catholic Church through the Archdiocese of San Antonio, as well as corporate giants like AT&T and Audi.
Ramon’s experience includes a range of commercial litigation and insurance defense cases, many of which involved life-threatening injuries. His time defending large corporations made him realize his passion lay in advocating for individuals and small businesses.
In 2015, Ramon opened his own practice in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, focusing on civil disputes. One of his cases, covered by CBS Dallas, involved residency issues under the Texas Education Code. Ramon has also litigated trademark disputes, including a case against Taylor Swift’s legal team in New York. While many of his cases have garnered media attention, Ramon is equally dedicated to serving all his clients, no matter the size or complexity of the case.
Ramon’s diverse legal experience spans Texas and federal courts, and he is now expanding his practice to California. He has tried three jury trials (one criminal and two civil) and over 25 bench trials in federal, administrative, and state courts. While waiting for his California license to be finalized, Ramon’s extensive background is a valuable asset to JRG Attorneys at Law, where he helps the people of Salinas in various litigation matters as well as individuals with matters in Texas.
When he's not working, Ramon enjoys spending time with his wife, dog, and family, cheering on the Dallas Cowboys, and indulging in home-cooked meals from his mother and grandmothers.
