Honoring Alex Zanardi: Dedication of the Corkscrew at Weathertech Laguna Seca Raceway
On September 4, 2026, the iconic Corkscrew turn at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca was officially renamed the “Zanardi Corkscrew,” in honor of the 30th anniversary of the infamous pass made by the late racecar driver Alex Zanardi. Dubbed “The Pass,” Zanardi’s maneuver became a defining moment of his career and a historic moment for the landmark Laguna Seca Raceway. JRG’s Managing Partner Jason Retterer, board member of Friends of Laguna Seca. attended the ceremony in honor of Zanardi’s legacy.
