Amy is a dedicated advocate who brings a strong sense of purpose and attention to detail to her legal practice. She focuses on helping individuals, families, and business owners navigate complex legal matters with practical, thoughtful solutions. Amy’s work centers on estate planning, business law, and civil litigation, where she assists clients in protecting their assets, planning for the future, and resolving disputes effectively. She values building lasting relationships with clients and guiding them through important legal decisions affecting their families, businesses, and futures.
Amy developed a strong foundation in advocacy and legal writing during law school. She served as a Comments Editor on the Santa Clara Law Review and worked with the Northern California Innocence Project evaluating complex legal claims. These experiences sharpened her analytical and research skills and reinforced her commitment to careful, thorough legal work.
As an attorney, Amy has litigated fraud and contract disputes and has substantial courtroom experience. She served in the San Benito County District Attorney’s Office, where she prosecuted misdemeanor and felony cases. In that role, she handled matters from charging through resolution and was known for her meticulous preparation, attention to detail, and ability to evaluate cases strategically.
Amy developed a reputation for strong written advocacy and careful case analysis. In one notable matter, she successfully opposed a habeas corpus petition seeking early release from prison by conducting an extensive review of the trial record and presenting a persuasive written opposition that the court ultimately adopted.
Amy stepped away from practice to raise her young son and was blessed with twins a few years later. She remained engaged in her community, managing her husband’s successful judicial campaign and advocating within the education system on behalf of her son with vision and hearing impairments. Amy has returned to legal practice at JRG, where she is excited to once again serve her community.
